My interest lies in numerical simulations of high-energy astrophysical phenomena as a tool to find out about their structure, dynamics and emissions. Such systems are multi-scale and multi-physics, and precise simulations are often out of our reach. But the recent growth of the available numerical methods, from the hardware to the algorithms, is opening a lot of possibilities that I am eager to keep exploring. My current domain is the modeling of gamma-ray bursts and their environment, as well as understanding the mechanisms behind the acceleration of such astrophysical flows.
